2 weeks is a long time. • 08.05.08
Preston and I leave on Saturday for 2 weeks. My brother is getting married the end of Aug. We fly to Bangkok on Saturday night and then on Sunday morning at 6:30am we leave Bangkok for our 6 hour flight to Tokyo. We only have a 1 hour lay over in Tokyo and then a 12 hour flight to Minneapolis where we will get to see some church family before loading our last flight to Tampa arriving around 11pm. Please pray for Preston during this time. Pray for Tim as well as he will be here alone for 2 weeks. Tim is already afraid that he might miss an important milestone in Prestons life, but I assured him that he wont grow or change at all while we are gone. I don’t think he believed me. ![]()

Preston is all boy…he wants to know if anyone out there is up for a game of football
heading to the pool • 07.28.08
The other day it was hot, so I decided it would be nice for Preston and I to go to a pool for an hour. He recently grew out of his swimsuit that Amy bought him, so he got to wear the one his grammie bought him. This one can with a hat. I was thinking that it would be nice if we could get Tim a matching swim suit and hat.

He’s into everything • 07.25.08
Preston has been trying for a long time to get into the coffee table, but hasn’t been strong enough to get himself in yet. That is until the other morning when Tim turned around and saw this

and then this…

don’t worry he wasn’t hurt doing this stunt. We are constantly amazed at his strength.
Yes…he can stand • 07.20.08
So this last month has truly been amazing for Preston. May I remind you that he is only 6 1/2 months old. Most babies his age are just learning how to really sit up on their own. Preston is crawling like crazy and now he can use objects to sort of stand himself up. My little baby doesn’t feel so little any more. When I go to wake him up from his nap he is often sitting in his crib playing with his toes.

need I say more…
Preston would like everyone to know he hates green beans and avocado • 07.11.08
I know the images are blurry, but I couldn’t get him to stop shaking his head. This was the face I got when trying to introduce green beans and avocado. We are making all of our own baby food. It is exciting as each week Preston gets to try something new. So far he likes: sweet potato, banana, pumpkin, and oatmeal. The green beans have been the hardest to prepare so far. They get very stringy and are hard to get into a good consistency for Preston to eat them. On Sunday’s I usually make the food he is going to eat for the week. This week has been sweet potato so I pump my breast milk, and bake the sweet potato. When it is done baking I put my milk and the potato in the blender and mix until creamy. When that is finished i put it in ice cube trays for perfect portions and let it freeze. When it is frozen the next morning I put them in a little container and each morning I can pull out the 3 cubes that he eats for the day. It only cost 1$ for a weeks worth of food
I think I will try avocado again next week. They say it is really good for the baby.

stronger every day • 07.09.08
A couple of weeks ago I posted a video of Preston trying to sit. He mostly propped himslef up with his hands. Now a couple weeks later he can go from a crawling position to a sitting position and back down again. It is absolutely amazing how much they grow in a few weeks.
Ps. Thank you Jen for the cute globe rattle.
